Fitness journey

Hello there friends! And a very happy sunday to you

Today my post is going to be about my fitness journey. Around March 2015 I made the decision to incorporate a workout on my everyday life. I started small, around 2 workout a week at first, then I increased the frequency as it felt natural. For about 5 months I was able to build and mantain this habit and also created amazing ones in the food situation: 1) I started to eat green soups ate least once a day (usually at dinner); 2) I started to create alternatives to satisfy my sugar cravings (for example, smashed banana with cinnamon, or homemade oat cookies with dark chocolate); 3) I only drank water, coffee and skim milk, and so on.

Two years have passed and my journey has been far from perfect. I must say when the summer comes is when it gets tricky for me working out. You see I get along pretty badly with high temperatures: my tension lowers a lot, I sweat a lot, and start hyperventilating real soon. So even when I reeally don’t want to lose rythm I just feel like I have to.

The first two summers I was not able to workout at all, thankfully this one, I made the extra effort to at least mantain a 2 times per week habit. And I did, I exercised at the end of the day always (not as hot), I drank a ton of water during the routine, and I started practicing slowing down my breath more – and this I was able to do thanks to meditation, I’ve learned some valuable skills with the practice and this was one of them!

Some months pass when I really feel like I haven’t done enough, and at the moment I’m not very satisfied with my eating habits. I got back to the daily workout and it’s wonderful, I feel like I release so much and it’s been helping me a lot to feel strong, capable and much more relaxed. At the moment I’m almost finishing this program, and the fact that it’s combat makes it even more easy to release anger and stress for me. Some days I add 3 more sets of routines I make up for an extra burn :).

About the progress, I definitely lost weight (not that I had a lot to lose, tho), I built muscle and it shows, especially on my abs, my legs and shoulders/arms. I went from a jeans’ size 8 to a 4/6, and from a Medium to a Small/Extra-small. Here’s my progress in pictures:

The first photo is 2/3 months into the journey and the foto on the right was taken last week

I hope you liked this post and felt inspired to implement good changes in your lifestyle, I know that’s how I started this – inspiration and motivation are the real MVP’s! Have an amazing weekend full of joy.

See you soon 💋
